crashes every time i open a document

I like the idea of writing something really quick, but there is a huge problem. If I have a character name with (V.O) dialog, Im unable choose the non-voice over name afterwards. Itll keep on changing it to the VO character name. Please find a way to fix this.

Dont be confused by this app at the beginning. It offers a lot of powerful tools and shortcuts, and winds up being easy to use. Very helpful.

Download this if you like writing screenplays for no reason and dont care to save. Never syncs. I wrote 3 pages and when I came back all that was there was the first line of page one. Absolutely livid.

doesnt support iphone screen size, celtx.com sync or formatted script exporting or importing. there are no settings

3 Issues which aren’t being addressed - 1) Jesusfreak229955 is right. I frequently find that the sync engine doesnt recognize old versions like it should. Work I did from another device gets erased by older work and the history restore feature is only available through their website to paid subscribers. - 2) Sometimes I want the character to be JOHN, but the app keeps auto updating what I type to JOHN (O.S.) because I used that earlier in the script. - 3) Auto capitalization is will inserts Caps where it shouldnt like in parentheticals. Will type lower case letters when the keyboard indicates it will place a Starting Cap, and will insert Capped words when the keyboard doesnt indicate that it will. Problem occurs mostly during editing.

I love the usability. It is easy to change from slug lines to dialogue. I like how it pops up names and location to save you from typing more than you need. Easily can export as text or pdf. This is amazing. So whats the catch? Several times I would open up my script and, after I have already typed the new section, I realize something is off. A whole section of my script is missing! My whole previous session would be simply gone! The whole time I had Wifi and it still decided to not sync. There has to be a way where I can write the script LOCALLY and then have the choice to upload it to the Celtx server if I choose. Always having this constant cloud connection allows script sections to disappear. I am terrified to write to much! The only work around I have is emailing myself a pdf. It has saved me several times. But when youre writing a feature and every moment used to rewrite what was delete is worse than wasted time. Dont put your trust in it!

We need more consistent updates please!

How about saving writing? That would be nice. When I switch apps it doesnt seem that difficult to save the writing I just typed in an offline mode even if it does "lose connection." Which it very rarely doesnt. I have been using this app for a long time and am very disappointed in its ability to save the actual words I am typing. How long does it take to fix that?

I was excited to have a way to be able to work on my scripts when not at a computer and I paid for it. The app does not sync properly with celtx, it will often not save the work done on the app and/ or omit work done on a computer removing large sections of my scripts. Once I found it deleted a 105 page script that I luckily had in pdf. Tech support acknowledged the issue when I contacted them and recommended I not use it since it is broken and not very functional...WHAT?!?? Why would you upload an app that is known to be broken???? Unless you are writing solely on your phone I would recommend staying away from the headache of not saving and missing chunks of your scripts if not the while thing.

I rarely write reviews but this app has me angry. Was so happy to find it. Was even happier to use it. I liked using it, simple and easy. Loved it for the convenience. Obviously I cant have my laptop with me at all times and I dont really like pen and paper writing all that much. This app allowed me to use screenplay writing software on the go, especially at work where I have some downtime throughout the day. And then I woke up this morning... Opened up my project to go back over what I read the day before. I didnt have as much time yesterday as I usually do, so I only had a couple pages. The whole second page was COMPLETELY GONE! Im not going to waste my time writing pages that may just disappear for no reason. Unless they fix this, I would recommend not downloading this app. Or find out for yourself and prepare to be disappointed.

I have used celtx before, but this mobile version does not work.

Update: They have fixed it. Now it stays open properly. It works! Ive written half a screenplay on my phone now, which feels weird. I wish they would add a "save" button or some indicator of when it last synced and saved. As is you have to trust that it saved all your work when youre closing the app. Other than that, excellent app! I have been using Celtx since about 2012, and really wanted to like this app. I decided to download it for convenience of making tweaks and notes on my phone, directly into the script as I thought of things instead of waiting until I got home. I downloaded, signed in, could see titles of my dozens of scripts, and the app just closed. I opened it again. 5 seconds...closed. About 10 tries and it will not stay open for more than 5 seconds after logging in. iPhone 6 iOS 9.3

This app doesnt sync with my celtx free account so I can not access my scripts unless Im online and I go to the website. Defeats the purpose of being able to access and edit offline. It does not support sketch at all. Thanks for letting me know that after 10 emails with your "tech expert", who just asked me questions and had no answers or technical expertise. Apple would not give me a refund because I was past their slotted time from date of sale. Dont pay for what you get for free.

I am an aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker and this is the only screenwriting software I ever use!!! I love writing with Celtx because Celtx makes it so easy. Recently, Celtx updated their website a bit and I was hoping for similar changes done to the app but nothing changed :( This app needs an update within the next few months

I try emailing the script somewhere, but I never received it in the email. Fix this problem

This app isnt all that bad. Maybe not as great as some other apps, but, its free, so... I just wish there was a title page. You know, "[Title], a screenplay by yada-yada?"

I usually love this app, but it wont stay signed in so I have to enter my password every single time I want to upload.

Always a great app, but continuously having to sign in every time I sync is getting annoying. So if the next update (recent please) can allow save the login information so I dont have to sign back in every single time I sync, that would be great!

I love this app but lately it has been logging out every time I leave the app :(. Please fix asap
